Well, we have beat that statistic! It feels amazing to overcome the odds. We opened our doors on April 2 years ago. Mendy's bootcampers, jogalates, and personal training clients joined us here at 10 W. Kansas in historic downtown Liberty. Our first month we didn't even have mirrors or painted walls, just flooring. It wasn't even presentable until the end of May. We held an open house for our clients to celebrate with us. Our Grand Opening wasn't until August and we planned all summer for that event.
This blog is a thank you to all who support our mission statement which was originally born from Mendy's deep desire to create a space where beauty and health flows from deep within the soul and luminates outward. She had grown weary of the shallow images, ideas, and messages that the fitness world imposes on us. She knew God laid on her heart to create an environment where people can be their best selves and not strive toward an image the media created.
Fit By Burn came to fruition out of a low place in Mendy's life when she and Dennis had lost hope of adopting their 2 daughters. It was a time when "beating the odds" of adopting from a closed country had become nearly impossible. Now, we are beating the odds on both! It feels surreal with both dreams alive, thriving, and moving forward.
Fit By Burn just celebrated our best financial month ever. We have been on a steady uphill growth for the last 6 months and we have YOU to thank for that. Like any business, we have had some bumps in the road and had to deal with disappointment and frustrations along the way. We have built a dream team of strong, independent leaders who value integrity and compassion. http://www.statisticbrain.com/startup-failure-by-industry/
Thank you for believing in our vision. We exist because of you. We keep striving because you keep striving. We love on others because you love others. We keep persevering because you persevere through life's trials and still try to keep fitness a priority. Thank you from the bottom, the sides, the middle, the edges, and inner most crevasses of our hearts.
Stay tuned. The next milestone is 5 years and we plan to be here cheering you on then, too. Enjoy some of these photos from the first few months back in the Spring of 2012 to now.
